Terms and Conditions

Section One:

            The author, hereafter referred to as participant, must sign a release form granting Two Bluestockings (hereafter referred to as TBS) permission to share the cover art, quotes, the participant’s headshot, etc. on all TBS platforms. Unless this release form is signed, TBS cannot proceed.

Section Two:

            This is a free service. Neither TBS nor the participant expects to receive compensation. The free service from TBS includes the following: posting on the TBS blog, reviewing on Amazon and GoodReads, and sharing the book on social media—Instagram, Facebook, Tumblr, YouTube, etc. The participant also agrees to share the TBS material on their own platforms as a cross promotion. If the participant does not comply, TBS retains the right to remove the material at their discretion.

Section Three:

I.                The participant can send TBS a free copy of their book, whether they gift it through Kindle or Audible or another ebook format. In this case, the participant may request that TBS not post on GoodReads or Amazon if the review does not meet his or her expectations. TBS retains the right to post the book on Instagram, Facebook, Tumblr, and TBS Blog and Podcast.

  •                                                                         TBS takes pride in their fairness, so they try to refrain from posting any reviews that are less than three stars. However, it should be noted that some authors prefer no less than four stars, so be advised that this option gives the participant more control over the ratings.

II.              The participant can send TBS a link to purchase their book in the format of TBS’ choice. However, this option takes away the participant’s option to request that TBS refrain from posting on Amazon or GoodReads. Since TBS pays for the book, the review—and the posting of said review—is at their discretion.

Section Four:

             TBS cannot guarantee that each book will be posted on the podcast. However, TBS does promise that the participant will be featured on the blog and on their social media platforms within sixty days of the contract being signed. 

Section Five:

            TBS offers an optional interview for participants as bonus promotion. The participant must specify that he or she would like to participate in the interview. The interview is a set list of questions chosen based on each author. It will be sent to the participant in an email.

Section Six:

            TBS does not discriminate between genres. Book reviews are assigned to the team member that will best serve as reviewer. For example: Aarika prefers not to read self-help or psychology books, and Jayna likes them. Jayna does not like horror, and Aarika prefers horror.

Aarika and Jayna sent Maureen some questions to get to know her better. They are included here for your entertainment and in hopes that you will be further encouraged to check out Maureen's book Woven. The Two Bluestockings' review for that book can be found here !  Do you try more to be original or to deliver to readers what they want? I think writing is an art, and so I try to be true to myself when I write. I learned a lot about writing when working on Woven, my first novel. Book Review: Woven: Six Stories, One Epic Journey by Maureen Morrissey

     Maureen Morrissey is the author of Woven: Six Stories, One Epic Journey . In this novel, you watch the history of a family unfold from the great-grandparents to the fourth generation. Morrissey says in the author's note that this was her 2020 project that she wrote during the COVID-19 pandemic.      Morrissey obviously is a history buff. I learned some things about World War Two that I didn't know like: a group of nurses crashed in the mountains and had to hike nine weeks to reach their destination and the Japanese actually put together prison camps that were equally as horrible as some of the camps in Germany.      The book is divided into two parts: his and hers. The "His" stands for Cam's story and the "Hers" stands for Tessa's story.
